善恶之争:死人能与我们讲话吗?【上】

 The ministration of holy angels, as presented in the Scriptures, is a truth most comforting and precious to every follower of Christ.

《圣经》中有对天使服务工作的描述,这些对每一个基督徒来说,都是最令他们安慰的、宝贵的真理。

 But the Bible teaching upon this point has been obscured and perverted by the errors of popular theology. 但《圣经》关于这方面的教导,却被流行的教义所曲解而变得模糊、晦涩。 

The doctrine of natural immortality, first borrowed from the pagan philosophy, and in the darkness of the great apostasy incorporated into the Christian faith, has supplanted the truth, so plainly taught in Scripture, that “the dead know not anything.” 灵魂不死的教义,最初是从异教哲学中借来的,而后在[欧洲]黑暗的中世纪宗教大背叛时期,被纳入了基督教,取代了《圣经》中旗帜鲜明的真道: 死了的人,对任何事情,都是毫无所知的。[传道书9:5]

 Multitudes have come to believe that it is spirits of the dead who are the “ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.”  于是,众人就纷纷相信死人的灵就是天使,被派来为那些将得拯救的人服务。 

And this notwithstanding the testimony of Scripture to the existence of heavenly angels, and their connection with the history of man, before the death of a human being. 然而《圣经》却明确指出:在死亡尚未临到人类之前,就已经有天使的存在,并且与那时的人类历史相关。

 The doctrine of man’s consciousness in death, especially the belief that spirits of the dead return to minister to the living, has prepared the way for modern spiritualism. 人死后仍有知觉的教义,尤其是死人的灵魂会回来为活着的人服务的观念,为现代招魂术铺平了道路。

 If the dead are admitted to the presence of God and holy angels, and privileged with knowledge far exceeding what they before possessed, why should they not return to the earth to enlighten and instruct the living? 如果人死后被接到上帝和圣天使那里,并可得到远远多于生前所学的知识,他们为何不重返人间,来开导、指教那些还活着的人呢? 

If, as taught by popular theologians, spirits of the dead are hovering about their friends on earth, why should they not be permitted to communicate with them, to warn them against evil, or to comfort them in sorrow? 如果,像一般神学家们所说的,死人的灵魂时常徘徊于他们在世的亲友之间,为何不允许他们与亲友交流,警告他们避免祸患,或在他们忧伤时安慰他们呢?

  How can those who believe in man’s consciousness in death reject what comes to them as divine light communicated by glorified spirits? 当假冒天使的鬼魂,显现在那些相信死后仍有知觉的人们面前,并对他们说,我讲的话,都是神圣的亮光的时候,他们如何能拒绝得了呢?

 Here is a channel regarded as sacred, through which Satan works for the accomplishment of his purposes. 他们认为,这是一条神圣的通讯纽带:于是,撒但就利用它来达到他的目的。

The fallen angels who do his bidding appear as messengers from the spirit world. 那些为撒但效劳的堕落的天使们,会以灵界使者的摸样,出现在人的面前。 

While professing to bring the living into communication with the dead, the prince of evil exercises his bewitching influence upon their minds. 他们声称,他们此行的目的,是为了让活着的人能与已经死去了的人建立通讯往来。就是用这样的伎俩,撒但这个魔王施展他的魔力,来诱惑这些人的心思。

 He has power to bring before men the appearance of their departed friends. 他的魔力,能使已故亲友的形象,显现在人的面前。 

The counterfeit is perfect; the familiar look, the words, the tone, are reproduced with marvelous distinctness. 这个魔鬼假冒的亲友,与真人十分相像,那人生前的音、容、笑、貌,都被扮演的惟妙惟肖。[译注: 出现的,只是没血没肉的影像。他们没有能力把死人变成有血有肉的活人。这个能力,在耶稣那里。] 

Many are comforted with the assurance that their loved ones are enjoying the bliss of heaven, and without suspicion of danger, they give ear “to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” 看见已故的亲友的确是在天享福,许多人会得到安慰,并相信“那诱人的邪灵,和鬼魔的教义,” 对危险毫无察觉。

 When they have been led to believe that the dead actually return to communicate with them, Satan causes those to appear who went into the grave unprepared. 在他们相信死人确能回来与他们见面沟通之后,撒但就用他的魔力,让那些去世时未曾悔改的人的影像显现。

 They claim to be happy in heaven and even to occupy exalted positions there, and thus the error is widely taught that no difference is made between the righteous and the wicked. 他们声称在天上过着幸福生活,甚至还在那里得了高位。这使人相信:义人与恶人死后的命运并无区别。这个谬道从此广为流传。 

The pretended visitants from the world of spirits sometimes utter cautions and warnings which prove to be correct. 这些来自灵界的幽魂,有时也会给人劝诫和警告,它们也会真的应验。

 Then, as confidence is gained, they present doctrines that directly undermine faith in the Scriptures.  当取得了人们的信任之后,这些幽魂就会讲歪门邪道,来动摇人们对《圣经》的信仰。

 With an appearance of deep interest in the well-being of their friends on earth, they insinuate the most dangerous errors.  他们装出一幅对世上亲友的幸福深深关切的样子,向亲友们暗示那些最危险的邪道。

 The fact that they state some truths, and are able at times to foretell future events, gives to their statements an appearance of reliability; and their false teachings are accepted by the multitudes as readily, and believed as implicitly, as if they were the most sacred truths of the Bible. 因为他们所讲的话含有一些真理,而且有时他们也能预言未来的事,他们的话就因此显得可靠。他们的那些邪道于是也被许多人欣然接受,并对其坚信不疑,把它们看作是《圣经》中最神圣的真理。 

The law of God is set aside, the Spirit of grace despised, the blood of the covenant counted an unholy thing. 上帝的律法就这样被废弃了。恩典的圣灵也被人藐视,而立约的血也被认为是不圣洁的了。 

The spirits deny the deity of Christ and place even the Creator on a level with themselves. 这些邪灵否认基督的神性,甚至把他们自己视为与创造主同列。 

Thus under a new disguise the great rebel still carries on his warfare against God, begun in heaven and for nearly six thousand years continued upon the earth. 在这种新的伪装之下,大叛徒撒但任然继续其反抗上帝的战争。这是一场始于天堂的战争。它已经在地上持续了将近六千年。

 Many endeavor to account for spiritual manifestations by attributing them wholly to fraud and sleight of hand on the part of the medium.   也有不少人认为,幽魂的显现,完全是巫婆、术士们的欺骗和戏法。

 But while it is true that the results of trickery have often been palmed off as genuine manifestations, there have been, also, marked exhibitions of supernatural power. 虽然这些戏法所能做出来的东西,常常被标榜为真的显灵,但是,也的确有超自然能力显现的情况。

 The mysterious rapping with which modern spiritualism began was not the result of human trickery or cunning, but was the direct work of evil angels, who thus introduced one of the most successful of soul-destroying delusions. 那[1849年3月始于纽约Hydesville的Fox家中]用来与人沟通的神秘的敲击声音,引发了西方现代通灵主义。这种神秘的敲击声音,不是出于人的骗术或戏法,而是邪恶的天使们直接做的 – 正是他们,向人们展示了这个最拿手的害人伎俩。通灵术是他们最成功的诱惑手段之一。 

Many will be ensnared through the belief that spiritualism is a merely human imposture; when brought face to face with manifestations which they cannot but regard as supernatural, they will be deceived, and will be led to accept them as the great power of God. 许多人以为:招魂术不过是人为的戏法。但当他们亲眼看到超自然的灵界现象时,他们就不得不承认其真实存在,并会上当受骗,误以为这些灵界现象,是出于上帝大能。 

These persons overlook the testimony of the Scriptures concerning the wonders wrought by Satan and his agents. 这些人竟然忽略《圣经》中关于撒但和他的天使们曾行过奇事的记载。

 It was by satanic aid that Pharaoh’s magicians were enabled to counterfeit the work of God. 古时法老的术士们曾靠撒但的帮助来仿效上帝所行的奇迹。

 Paul testifies that before the second advent of Christ there will be similar manifestations of satanic power. 保罗早就指出,在基督复临之前,撒但将会再次施展他的魔力。

The coming of the Lord is to be preceded by “the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:9,10.  在主的降临之前,将会有“撒但施展他所有的魔力,做出种种骗人的奇迹,使用各种不义的欺骗手段。”(帖后2:9,10)

 And the apostle John, describing the miracle-working power that will be manifested in the last days, declares: 使徒约翰曾对这种能行奇事的魔力做过描述,它在末日时期会再次呈现,并: 

 “He doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do.” Revelation 13:13, 14. 他[撒但]会行大奇迹,在人的面前,让火从天降到地上,并用这些他能做的奇迹来欺骗地上的人。 

 No mere impostures are here foretold.  这里所预言的,不是那些人所行的骗术。

 Men are deceived by the miracles which Satan’s agents have power to do, not which they pretend to do. 这些奇迹是撒但的天使们确实能做出来的,并不是他们假装行出来的。人看了后就被其所骗。

 The prince of darkness, who has so long bent the powers of his mastermind to the work of deception, skillfully adapts his temptations to men of all classes and conditions. 黑暗的魔王撒但积累了多年的欺骗经验,他把自己的聪明才智一直都用在这上面了。对于不同阶层和不同处境的人,他在欺骗手法上巧妙地做出相同的调整。

 To persons of culture and refinement he presents spiritualism in its more refined and intellectual aspects, and thus succeeds in drawing many into his snare. 对于有文化修养的人,他展现通灵术如何有益于修身养性、培养智力,借此勾引许多人陷入他的网罗。

 The wisdom which spiritualism imparts is that described by the apostle James, which “descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.” James 3:15. 关于招魂术所给予人的智慧,使徒雅各曾形容说:“这样的智慧不是从上头来的,乃是属地的、属情欲的、属鬼魔的。”(雅3:15)

 This, however, the great deceiver conceals when concealment will best suit his purpose. 但这一点,那大骗子撒但是要遮盖起来的 — 如果掩盖真相,有利于达到其目的的话。

 He who could appear clothed with the brightness of the heavenly seraphs before Christ in the wilderness of temptation, comes to men in the most attractive manner as an angel of light. 撒但既然能以披着荣光的圣天使的样子出现在基督面前,在旷野中试探他,那么他就照样能以光明天使的形象,以那最动人的姿态,出现在人的面前。

 He appeals to the reason by the presentation of elevating themes;  为了迎合人的理智,他就宣讲高尚的主题; 

 he delights the fancy with enrapturing scenes;  为了人的视觉享受,他就描述那些引人入胜的情景;

and he enlists the affections by his eloquent portrayals of love and charity.,为了触动人的感情,他就对爱与慈善做动人的描绘。

 He excites the imagination to lofty flights, leading men to take so great pride in their own wisdom that in their hearts they despise the Eternal One. 他刺激人的想象力,使之想入非非,令人因自己的智慧而骄傲,以致心中藐视永生的上帝。

 That mighty being who could take the world’s Redeemer to an exceedingly high mountain and bring before Him all the kingdoms of the earth and the glory of them, will present his temptations to men in a manner to pervert the senses of all who are not shielded by divine power. 这位大有能力的魔鬼,既能把世界的救赎主带到极高的山上,并将地上的万国和万国的荣华都摆在他面前,他也必会试探世人,并且这种试探,会让所有未蒙神圣能力保护的人,在感官上发生错乱。

 Satan beguiles men now as he beguiled Eve inEdenby flattery, by kindling a desire to obtain forbidden knowledge, by exciting ambition for self-exaltation. 撒但现今欺骗人类的方法和他古时在伊甸园中欺骗夏娃一样,利用谄媚的话,设法唆使人追求上帝所禁止的知识,并鼓动他产生自高自大的野心。

 It was cherishing these evils that caused his fall, and through them he aims to compass the ruin of men. “Ye shall be as gods,” he declares, “knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:5. 他自己曾因这些恶念而堕落了,现在又想利用这些来达到他毁灭世人的目的。他声称:“你们会变成上帝那样,知道善和恶。”(创3:5)

 Spiritualism teaches “that man is the creature of progression; that it is his destiny from his birth to progress, even to eternity, toward the Godhead.” 通灵术教导人说:“人类是进步的生物;他一生下来,其命运就是进化,一直到永远,最后成为上帝。”

 And again: “Each mind will judge itself and not another.” 又说:“每个人的思想,只应做出对自己判断,而不是去判断别人的思想。”

 “The judgment will be right, because it is the judgment of self. . . . The throne is within you.” “而且,你的这个判断会是正确的,因为,它是对自我的判断。主就在你的里面。”

 Said a spiritualistic teacher, as the “spiritual consciousness” awoke within him: “My fellow men, all were unfallen demigods.” 有一位通灵术的教师,当他里面的“属灵的意识”觉醒时,说:“各位同人,我们大家都是未曾堕落的神人。”

 And another declares: “Any just and perfect being is Christ.”  还有一位说:“任何公正与完全的人就是基督。”

Thus, in place of the righteousness and perfection of the infinite God, the true object of adoration; in place of the perfect righteousness of His law, the true standard of human attainment, Satan has substituted the sinful, erring nature of man himself as the only object of adoration, the only rule of judgment, or standard of character. This is progress, not upward, but downward.   就是这样,撒但把那位公义的、完美的、无限的上帝 — 应敬拜的真正对象,取而代之,把人本身有罪的、犯错的属性,视为唯一的敬拜对象; 撒但还把上帝完全公义的律法 — 衡量人类成就、学识的真正准则,取而代之,把人本身有罪的、犯错的属性,当做唯一的判断准则,或衡量品格的标准。这个“进步”,决不是向上的,而是向下的。

 It is a law both of the intellectual and the spiritual nature that by beholding we become changed. 有一条心理和灵性发展的规律,那就是,你的常常注意什么样的人,心中所常仰慕什么样的人,你就会变成什么样的人。
